♥ Help keep it free

If SciSim sparked something in you, help us keep the lights on.

298 interactive simulations. No ads. No paywalls. No data resale. For the next student who can't afford a textbook but still wants to understand the world.

I built SciSim because nobody taught me physics the way it deserved to be taught.

I grew up where textbooks were expensive and labs were locked — abstractions like a pendulum's phase space or a neuron firing stayed abstractions. We memorized formulas; we never felt them. Then the open web showed up — Khan Academy on a borrowed laptop, Stack Exchange at 2am, MIT OCW — and the people who built those things asked nothing back.

SciSim is my attempt to keep one of those doors open for someone I will never meet.

"The free internet taught me science. SciSim is how I pay it forward — one interactive simulation at a time, free for the next curious mind who needs it." — the person building this

Every sim here costs something to put online — hosting, midnight bug fixes, months to build a new category. No ads, no premium tier, no selling your data. Your donation is what makes that refusal possible. If even one sim here ever clicked something into focus for you — and if you can spare a coffee — please chip in. You'll be paying it forward for the next student who's where I was.

What your donation actually buys

$5
A month of domain & email for the whole site
$25
One new fact-checked simulation built end-to-end
$50
A whole new sub-category (e.g. "Stat Mech")
$200
A full year of operating costs, with reserve

Can't donate right now?

Truly fine. SciSim is free for a reason — because that's the whole point. If you still want to help without spending money:

Whether you donate $5 or share the link with one friend or just keep coming back when you're stuck on a problem — thank you. That's what makes this worth building. — the builder of SciSim
